FRAUD, MISTAKES AND SCIENCE FICTION

tetê presents “Fraud, mistakes and science fiction”, the first solo exhibition in Berlin by the Brazilian artists Fernanda Figueiredo and Eduardo Mattos. With a pictorial installation the artists question the role of the printed newspaper, the manipulation of information and the system of beliefs and values that mediate the meeting of the reader with the facts.
During the opening there will be a Maracatu performance by Brazilian musicians.

Mit „Betrug, Fehlern und Science Fiction“ präsentiert tetê brasilianischen Künstlern Fernanda Figueiredo und Eduardo Mattos erste Einzelausstellung in Berlin. Die bildlichen Installation wird die Rolle der gedruckten Zeitung diskutiert; höheres Ziel dabei ist es, eine Kritik am fortschreitende Manipulation von Informationen und das System des Glaubens und Moralvorstellungen, die die Begegnung des Lesers mit den Tatsachen vermittelt.
Im Rahmen der Eröffnung eine „Maracatu“ Performance wird von brasilianischen Musikern präsentiert.
